Each number is the lowest NEET UG 2026 score that secured a regular Assam State Quota seat in that round, read from DME Assam’s official provisional selection lists. The last column is the lowest across all four rounds, with the All India Rank of that candidate. “Regular” leaves out PwD, Ex-Serviceman, Freedom Fighter, Sports, Orphan and OBC/MOBC community seats.

Round 1 is the list of 2 September 2026, Round 2 the list after the 11 September notice, Round 3 the list of 12 October (1,759 seats: 1,627 MBBS, 132 BDS) and the stray round the list of 22 October (33 seats: 7 MBBS, 26 BDS). The stray round had no MBBS seat for OBC/MOBC, SC or ST candidates, so those cells show the earlier low. DME revised the Government Dental College, Silchar Round 3 list on 13 October (Notice No. 1533); BDS figures from the 12 October list for that college may move.

Read the stray figures with care. The stray round gave out only 33 seats that others had left. A low stray score at a popular college, for example one seat at Gauhati Medical College or Assam Medical College going at 518, does not mean that college is easy to get. For a college’s normal closing score, look at its Round 3 figure: 525 at Gauhati Medical College, 526 at Assam Medical College, 530 at Silchar Medical College and 531 at Jorhat Medical College, all Unreserved.

the Right Way
For your category, the tool takes the lowest NEET UG score that got a regular Assam State Quota seat at each college in the round you pick. If you are SC, ST, OBC/MOBC or EWS, it also checks the Unreserved lowest, because reserved-category students can win open seats on merit. Colleges where your score is at or above the lower of the two are listed first; colleges within 10 marks (or about 5 per cent in rank) are listed next. In the All rounds view the table shows Round 2, Round 3, stray and the final lowest side by side.
It is a guide, not an allotment. Seats were allotted by DME Assam in rank order and by the choices each candidate locked, and every year moves. PwD, Ex-Serviceman, Freedom Fighter, Sports and Orphan seats, and the OBC/MOBC community seats, are left out; they close at different scores.
State Quota seats are only for candidates eligible under DME Assam’s admission rules; read the Assam MBBS and BDS forms and bonds page and DME’s notices before you rely on any number here.
No one can sell or reserve an MBBS seat. Every seat in Assam is allotted only through DME Assam’s counselling on your NEET UG rank, and capitation fee is illegal in India.

Using the 2026 Numbers
for NEET UG 2027
Assam’s 2026 closing scores moved little between rounds: Unreserved MBBS went from 525 to 517, and the six category lows for MBBS were 517, 511, 431, 434, 412 and 373. That gives a family a starting benchmark for the Unreserved, EWS, OBC/MOBC, SC and ST categories. It does not predict 2027, because the paper, the number of candidates, the seat matrix and the reservation rules can all change.
What to do now: keep the category, domicile and schooling documents that DME Assam asked for in 2026 ready and valid (see the forms and bonds page); note the rank band you need for your category from the table above; and keep other routes open, such as other states, MCC and private colleges, using our UG deadline tracker. DME Assam publishes each year’s dates only after the NEET UG result, and nothing for 2027 has been announced.

It lists the Assam government medical and dental colleges whose lowest 2026 State Quota closing score was at or below yours, using DME Assam's official Round 1, 2, 3 and stray round lists. It is a guide from past rounds, not an allotment.
Across all four rounds, the lowest regular State Quota MBBS score was 517 for Unreserved (AIR 69,698), 511 for EWS, 431 for OBC/MOBC, 434 for SC, 412 for ST (Plains) and 373 for ST (Hills). The Unreserved and EWS lows came in the stray round, which gave out only a handful of vacated seats.
The last rank to get a regular Assam State Quota MBBS seat was about AIR 69,698 for Unreserved, 76,124 for EWS, 203,915 for OBC/MOBC, 197,723 for SC, 243,539 for ST (Plains) and 343,946 for ST (Hills), counting all rounds. Those are closing ranks of the lowest-scoring seat-holder in each category, not a promise for any later year.
In Round 3, the lowest Unreserved score at Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati was 525 (AIR 60,056). The lowest in other categories was 513 for OBC/MOBC, 520 for SC, 510 for ST (Plains) and 429 for ST (Hills). One seat there went to a score of 518 in the stray round, because it had been vacated late.
In Round 3 the lowest Unreserved score at Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh was 526 (AIR 59,634), with 491 for OBC/MOBC, 482 for SC, 487 for ST (Plains) and 428 for ST (Hills).
By Round 3 Unreserved closing score, Pragjyotishpur Medical College, Guwahati was highest at 547 (AIR 39,572), followed by ESIC Medical College, Beltola at 540 and Barpeta Medical College at 533. Tinsukia Medical College was lowest at 518, then Lakhimpur at 519. Seats at the older Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Silchar colleges close higher in the reserved categories.
Across all rounds, the lowest regular State Quota BDS score was 502 for Unreserved, 502 for EWS, 418 for OBC/MOBC, 417 for SC, 403 for ST (Plains) and 360 for ST (Hills). Government Dental College, Silchar set the lowest BDS score in every category.
It fell very little. For MBBS, Unreserved went from 525 in Round 1 to 517, EWS from 512 to 511, OBC/MOBC from 434 to 431, SC from 439 to 434, ST (Plains) from 417 to 412 and ST (Hills) from 374 to 373.
DME Assam has held Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and a stray round for 2026. The stray round select list came out on 22 October 2026 with only 33 seats (7 MBBS, 26 BDS), and reporting closed on 26 October. DME Assam has since announced a special stray round (notice of 3 November, extended on 5 November): choices to 10 PM on 6 November, result 8 November, joining 16 November.
Use them as a benchmark, not a forecast. Closing scores change every year with paper difficulty, the number of candidates, the seat matrix and the reservation rules. In 2026 the Unreserved MBBS closing score moved only 8 marks from Round 1 to the stray round, but a new year can move more. Check DME Assam's notices when 2027 counselling opens.
