Merit List Out, Corrections Close 16 October
In one line: DME Assam has published the provisional NEET-PG 2026 list for Assam State Quota seats (3,583 names). If your name is missing, or you want to change your category, submit a plain-paper application by hand at DME Assam, Sixmile, by 16 October 2026 (category change by 12 noon). Counselling dates will follow MCC’s schedule.

The short answer. Assam fills 50% of PG seats in its Government Medical Colleges and at B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati, through DME Assam on NEET-PG 2026 scores. You can join the online counselling only if your name and roll number are on DME Assam’s state list and you reached the NBE cut-off (262 General/EWS, 244 General PwD, 226 SC/ST/OBC). Missing names and category changes close on 16 October 2026. Register for MCC Round 1 as well, by 12 noon on 21 October.

The NEET-PG schedule issued with MCC’s tentative schedule puts state Round 1 between 21 October and 2 November 2026. DME Assam has not published its own round dates yet; we add them here the day they appear.
No one can reserve or sell an MD/MS seat. Every PG seat, management and NRI quota included, is allotted only through MCC or state counselling on your NEET PG rank. Pay fees only to the college or university, against a receipt.

3% of the marks obtained for each completed year of service in a notified remote and difficult area, up to 9% for three years or more, counted up to 31 May of the session. The 2026 application closed on 15 October 2026.
DME Assam says the online counselling for 50% PG seats in Government Medical Colleges of Assam and BBCI will follow MCC’s schedule. Dates had not been announced as of 16 October 2026.
