OEF's 5-Step Result Day Plan

What Happens After
NEET UG 2026 Results?

1

Result Day — Call OEF at 9085064444

The moment results are announced, call us. We do same-day NEET score analysis and show you all realistic options — management quota, government, BDS, BAMS — for your specific score and budget. Free, no commitment.

2

Within 24 Hours — Personalised College Shortlist

We prepare a ranked list of the best colleges available for your score and budget across all our partner states. Complete fee breakdown included — no surprises.

3

Within 48–72 Hours — Your Shortlist, Costed

We pull the fee committee notification, deposit terms and last year’s closing ranks for each college on your shortlist, and put the full cost in writing before you pay anything. Allotment itself comes from the counselling authority on rank order — nobody can confirm that in advance, and you should be wary of anyone who says they can.

4

The Round 1 Decision — Where Deposits Are Lost

In most states, exiting after a Round 1 allotment is permitted without forfeiting your ₹1–3 lakh security deposit, while later rounds are not. That makes Round 1 the round to get right. We explain the forfeiture rule for your specific state and round before you commit.

5

Joining Day — We're Still With You

Document support, bond verification, travel planning, hostel guidance — OEF stays with you until you are settled in your new college. That is what genuine service looks like.

Especially for NE India Students

NEET 2026 — Critical Tips for
Northeast India Aspirants

Category Certificate — Prepare NOW

ST/SC/OBC students from NE states should have their caste/tribe certificates attested and ready before NEET 2026. Tribal Area Certificates for Arunachal Pradesh, ILP zone documents — all need to be in order. OEF will tell you exactly what documents each college requires.

Open Category Strategy — You Can Apply Anywhere

NE students can apply as Open Category candidates in any state — management quota, AIQ, or deemed universities have no domicile requirement. OEF maximises this by showing you options across all partner states simultaneously.

Budget Planning — Include All Costs

Total MBBS cost = Tuition + Hostel + Food + Travel home (2–3 times/year) + Study materials. For NE students in West Bengal: ₹10–12L/year total. Karnataka: ₹18–28L/year total. OEF will give you a complete realistic budget before you decide.

Colleges with Strong NE Communities

KIMS Bhubaneswar, IQ City Durgapur, Vydehi Bangalore, and several Karnataka colleges have large, well-established NE India student communities. OEF can connect you with senior students from your state currently studying there — so you go in informed, not blind.

Remote Counselling — No Office Visit Needed

OEF serves students from all 8 NE states. Remote counselling via phone and WhatsApp. Even if you're in a remote area of Nagaland or Sikkim — we can guide you completely. Call 9085064444 on result day.

Security Deposit — Understand Before Round 2

This is critical: if you accept a seat in Round 2 or Mop-up and don't join, your ₹1–3 Lakh deposit is permanently gone. OEF's Round 1 strategy is specifically designed to prevent this loss. Read our complete deposit guide →

NEET 2026 FAQs

Your Questions Answered

When was NEET UG 2026 held and when was the result declared?
+

The exam originally scheduled for 3 May 2026 was cancelled by the National Testing Agency after paper-leak allegations. The Re-NEET UG 2026 was held on 21 June 2026 across 551 cities in India and 14 abroad, and NTA declared the result on 16 July 2026 at neet.nta.nic.in. Around 20 lakh candidates appeared and 11.21 lakh qualified. The whole 2026 cycle is running roughly two months behind a normal year, which is why several state counselling windows opened and closed inside a single fortnight in July.

How many NEET UG attempts are allowed?
+

As per NMC guidelines (2022), there is no cap on the number of NEET UG attempts. You can appear as many times as needed, provided you meet the age requirement (minimum 17 years). There is no upper age limit after the Supreme Court's 2022 ruling. This applies to all categories — General, OBC, SC, and ST.

What documents do I need for MBBS counselling 2026?
+

Core documents needed: NEET 2026 score card, Class 10 certificate (date of birth proof), Class 12 marksheet, photo ID (Aadhaar/Passport), Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PwD if applicable), Tribal Area Certificate (for Scheduled Tribe students from NE states), domicile certificate (for state quota), passport photos, and medical fitness certificate. OEF provides a complete, college-specific document checklist after your free counselling call.

The result is out. What should I do this week?
+

Three things, in this order. First, check which counselling windows are still open for your domicile and score — CENTAC Puducherry closes 6 August, Gujarat ACPUGMEC 12 August, NEIGRIHMS Shillong 17 August. Second, get your certificates in hand: domicile or PRC, category certificate, Class 10 and 12 originals, NEET scorecard. Third, register for MCC the moment the schedule appears at mcc.nic.in. Call 9085064444 and we will do the first step with you today, free.
