Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 —
Round 1 Allotment Complete, Freeze by 5 September

State centralised counselling for MBBS and BDS. If you picked the Freeze option, the next step is on you: report to your allotted institute and get every admission formality done by 5:00 PM on 5 September 2026. Miss that window and the notice is explicit that your allotment counts as cancelled, no exceptions mentioned. Both fee submissions are dated for the 2026-27 academic year and addressed to the Controller of Examinations, HNB Uttarakhand Medical Education University — the state's counselling university. Two older Uttarakhand dental college fee orders (Uttaranchal Dental & Medical Research Institute, Majri, and Seema Dental College, Rishikesh) exist from a 2018 state fee-fixation order but do not reflect current 2026-27 rates; we have not included them here rather than publish an eight-year-old figure as current.

Source and scope. The Round 1 schedule comes from the official Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling Board notices for NEET UG 2026, published via the counselling portal linked from the university's website (hnbumu.ac.in): the original schedule (13 August 2026), the revised schedule issued 19 August 2026, the Provisional Result notice uploaded 27 August 2026, and the Board's Round-I Seat Allotment and Admission notice, uploaded 31 August 2026 and signed by the Member Secretary, which confirms allotment is complete and sets the 5:00 PM, 5 September 2026 admission deadline for Freeze-option candidates. HIMS fee data comes from the college's own submission to HNB Uttarakhand Medical Education University for the 2026-27 session. SGRR fee data comes from Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute's letter (Ref. SGRR/MC/NEET-UG/2026/-58975) to the university, dated 16 July 2026. All counselling notices state explicitly that later directions from the Government of India, MCC, NMC, NDC or the state government supersede anything printed here, and that no separate notification is sent to individual candidates. This page was last checked against those official notices on 1 September 2026; confirm every figure directly with the college and the university before any payment.

Uttarakhand FAQs

Questions Parents Ask Us

What is the Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 Round 1 schedule?
+

Registration, choice filling and fee submission ran from 13 August 2026, 11:00 AM, to 24 August 2026, 5:00 PM, after the counselling board extended the window by five days on 19 August. The provisional result came out 27 August, candidates had until 4:00 PM on 28 August to flag discrepancies, and by 31 August the board had finished Round I seat allotment on merit and submitted choices — it's final now, not provisional. If you chose the Freeze option, you must report to your allotted institute and complete admission by 5:00 PM, 5 September 2026, or the allotment is cancelled.

Why did the Round 1 schedule change?
+

The Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling Board published a revised schedule on 19 August 2026 — the same day the original registration window was due to close — extending registration and choice filling by five days, to 24 August, and pushing the result and joining dates back accordingly (result from 22 to 27 August; joining deadline from 28 August to 5 September). Both the original and revised notices reserve the board's right to modify the schedule at any point, so treat any date on this page as subject to further change until you see it confirmed on the university's counselling portal.

Who can register for Uttarakhand state counselling?
+

Any candidate eligible as per Uttarakhand Government norms who has qualified NEET UG 2026. The counselling board explicitly reserves the right to modify the schedule and apply the latest directions from the Government of India, MCC, NMC, NDC and the state government as they arrive — the notice states that whatever is uploaded most recently on the official university website overrides anything printed in the information bulletin.

What does an MBBS seat cost at Uttarakhand’s private colleges?
+

It varies sharply by college and quota. At Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS), Dehradun, the Permanent Resident of Uttarakhand quota (30% of seats) is ₹18,00,000 a year; the remaining 70% of seats are ₹24,00,000 a year, with no NRI seats. At Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences (SGRRIMHS), the Uttarakhand quota (25% of seats, with a 25% merit-based rebate already applied) is ₹18,00,000 a year, the All India Open Quota (75% of seats) is ₹24,00,000, and the NRI quota is USD 1,84,000 a year, inclusive of a USD 200 security component. Both figures are tuition only — see the fee tables below for the full breakdown.

Are Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Vacancy dates available yet?
+

Not as of 1 September 2026. Both the original and the revised Round 1 notices state that the time schedule and detailed procedure for Round 2, Round 3 and the Stray Vacancy round will be notified separately on the university website. Treat this page as Round 1 only, and check back for later rounds rather than assuming a pattern from Round 1’s dates.

Is Uttarakhand's Round 1 seat allotment final, and what is the admission deadline?
+

Yes. The Counselling Board's notice, uploaded 31 August 2026, confirms Round I seat allotment for NEET UG 2026 Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling is complete, worked out on merit and the choices candidates submitted. If you selected the Freeze option, you now need to report to your allotted institute and finish every admission formality — document verification, fee payment, whatever the college asks for — by 5:00 PM on 5 September 2026. The notice is blunt about what happens if you miss it: your allotment and admission get treated as cancelled. There's no mention of a grace period or an appeal route, so treat that deadline as final. Keep checking www.hnbumu.ac.in yourself; the Board doesn't send individual reminders.

Is this schedule final, or can it change?
+

The notice is explicit that it is indicative only, and that candidates should read the full information bulletin for detailed information. It also states the counselling board reserves the right to modify the schedule at any point, and that no separate individual notification will be sent to candidates — you are expected to check the university website yourself.
