The short answer. OEF’s offer at Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital is ₹17,00,000 per year, so ₹68,00,000 over four annual instalments. If the college bills the last half-year as a full instalment, the total is ₹76,50,000, so OEF gets the college’s instalment schedule in writing before you pay. Hostel, mess and deposits are extra. How we count “under ₹75 lakh”. MBBS is 4.5 years of study plus 1 year of internship. At ₹17 lakh a year, four annual instalments come to ₹68 lakh. If a college bills the half-year at the end as a full extra instalment, 4.5 × ₹17 lakh is ₹76.5 lakh. The college decides how it bills, so OEF asks for the instalment schedule and the internship-year charges in writing before you commit, and shows you the total you will actually pay.
OEF’s service charge is extra and agreed with you in writing before you pay it. Seats are limited and are filled only as MCC allots them.
College fee reference: the ₹27 lakh a year figure is the one shown on OEF’s offer sheet. Press reports in 2026 put the fee at about ₹24 lakh a year (about ₹1.09 crore for the course) after the college moved to deemed university status; before that, state quota seats were reported at ₹5.4 lakh and management quota seats at ₹16.2 lakh a year. See Careers360 and Medical Dialogues. The amount actually payable is the one the university notifies for your seat category. Ask for it in writing and pay only the university’s official account.
Before You Pay Anything,
Know the Rules
The legal part, in plain words. 1. No one can sell or reserve an MBBS seat. Every MBBS seat in India, management and NRI seats included, is allotted only through official NEET UG counselling. OEF guides you through that process; we do not and cannot allot seats. 2. Capitation fee is illegal. The Supreme Court has repeatedly held that colleges cannot charge capitation fees, and states such as Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan also have their own laws against it. The OEF figure on this page is a fee arrangement for the college’s own tuition, not an extra payment. 3. Pay only the college. Pay into the college or university’s official bank account and keep every receipt. OEF’s own service charge is separate and agreed in writing.
Five checks before you pay anything
- Your seat appears in the official counselling allotment letter, with your name and roll number on it.
- The college is on the current NMC list of recognised or permitted medical colleges for 2026-27.
- The year-wise fee, deposit and what each covers are given to you in writing by the college.
- Every rupee goes into the college’s official account, against a numbered receipt.
- You know the instalment dates and what happens to your fees if you resign or the seat is cancelled.

Is Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan, Perambalur Right
for a Student from the Northeast?
Tamil Nadu is far from the Northeast, and a family needs to plan travel, food and settling in. Guwahati has flights to Chennai, and Trichy is reached by connecting flights or trains (check current schedules). Teaching is in English, and many students from other states study in Tamil Nadu colleges. Learning basic Tamil in the first year helps in the hospital OPD.
At ₹17 lakh a year, plus hostel, mess and travel, this has to fit your family’s actual finances. Ask OEF for the year-by-year schedule, the hostel details and the total you will actually pay before you decide.
We are a Guwahati-based consultancy that has guided Northeast India students into MBBS, BDS and AYUSH seats since 2008. We tell you plainly whether a college is reachable on your NEET UG rank and affordable on your budget, and what else fits if it is not.
