Read the numbers correctly. In every private unaided college except St John’s (a minority institution with its own fee) the private-quota fee is the same: ₹13,87,994 for clinical, ₹3,58,253 for para-clinical and ₹1,87,668 for pre-clinical MD/MS branches. That is the annual tuition fixed by the State’s fee order for 2026-27 (File No. MED/219/RGU/2026, which keeps 2025-26 tuition of ₹13,72,994, ₹3,43,253 and ₹1,72,668 unchanged) plus ₹15,000. Private universities set their own figures, which vary by branch. NRI fees run from about ₹75 lakh to ₹1.6 crore a year for MD Radio-diagnosis (₹75,15,000 to ₹1,60,15,000). All figures are per year, as listed in KEA’s provisional fee structure; check kea.kar.nic.in for any revision before you enter an option. Seats are allotted only through counselling; no college, consultant or agent can sell or reserve one, and capitation fee is illegal in India. Pay only through the official portal or to the college, against a receipt.

Karnataka From
the Northeast
Karnataka has a large number of private PG seats, which is why many Northeast doctors look at it. You compete as General (UR), so plan with the General merit, not your home-state category. The portal is open until 25 October 2026 per KEA's notice of 22 October. If you have not registered, do it now, book a document verification slot, and call us if your rank or category is unclear.
