Per Notification No. DHSMER.150/MBBS Admission/2026-27/5607, dated 11 September 2026, issued in pursuance of Government order No. Health 153/2026/111 (also dated 11 September 2026), the Director of Health Services, Medical Education & Research, Meghalaya published a list of Selected Candidates to MBBS and BDS study, against seats allotted to the State of Meghalaya at institutions across India — among the states named are Delhi, Bihar, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Manipur — for the 2026-27 session, in the Unreserved Category, along with a separate Waiting List. This is different from both PIMC (a Meghalaya-based college covered elsewhere on this page) and the local State Quota round for Central Pool seats and Shillong Medical College: this list covers seats reserved for Meghalaya-domiciled candidates at institutions outside the state. As per this site’s standing practice, we do not reproduce individual candidate names, scores, ranks or institution allotments — check the official notification directly at meghealth.gov.in for your own result.

Sangma International Medical College & Hospital (PIMC), Baridua, is holding a Second Round of Counselling for 1st year MBBS against State Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota seats for the 2026-27 session. Notification No. DHSME&R.152/USTM/MBBS/2026/5391, dated 7 September 2026, extends the last date for online submission to 8 September 2026, till 10:00 AM. Counselling is held 9 September 2026, from 9:00 AM, at the Directorate of Health Services (MI), Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Health Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong – 793001. This 7 September notice only covers the extension; the originating Second Round advertisement, dated 3 September 2026, is where eligibility and seat availability would be set out, and we have not independently examined it — confirm your own status directly at meghealth.gov.in.

The Directorate of Health Services (Medical Education & Research), Shillong, issued advertisement No. DHSME&R.152/USTM/MBBS/2026/4622 inviting online applications for 1st year MBBS at P.A. Sangma International Medical College & Hospital, Baridua, 9th Mile, Ri-Bhoi. It covers all three quotas at that college — State, Management and NRI — for the 2026-27 session. Applications open 7 August 2026 at 12:00 noon and close 13 August 2026 at 5:00 PM on meghealth.gov.in.

Yes, but only through Management Quota or NRI Quota. The 64 State Quota seats are closed to outsiders: they need either a Meghalaya ST/SC/OST certificate from a competent authority in the state, or a Permanent Resident Certificate issued under Government of Meghalaya Political Department Letter No. POL.97/74/174 dated 10 July 1983. Management Quota carries no domicile condition — the advertisement asks only for Indian citizenship, a NEET UG 2026 qualification and the Class 12 marks threshold. That makes those 64 Management seats one of the few genuinely open MBBS routes inside the Northeast.

NRI Quota 22, State Quota 64, Management Quota 64. Within the 64 State Quota seats: Khasi & Jaintia 26 (40%), Garo 26 (40%), Unreserved 9 (15%), and SC/OST 3 (5%). PwBD candidates are accommodated within each of those four categories rather than as a separate block.

Tuition, stated as non-refundable in the advertisement: ₹4,95,000 under State Quota, ₹22,00,000 under Management Quota, and USD 43,000 under NRI Quota, all subject to the fee fixation committee. On top of that: a ₹500 application fee for every quota, and a counselling fee of nil for State Quota, ₹3,000 for Management Quota and ₹25,000 for NRI Quota. Payment is through SB-Collect. Note that the tuition figures are annual and the advertisement does not list hostel, mess or other recurring charges — ask the college for the full first-year outflow before you commit.

The advertisement adopts the MCC 2026 position directly. If you Freeze, you report physically to the institution and complete admission formalities. If you Float, you keep the allotted seat, stay eligible for upgradation in later rounds, and are not required to complete final admission formalities until your allotment becomes final. Choosing Float and then also travelling to report is a common and expensive mistake.

The advertisement is unusually direct about this. Admission stands cancelled immediately regardless of how far into the course you are; the candidate is debarred from any State Government quota course for three years; and legal or criminal proceedings can be initiated against the candidate and, where applicable, the parents or guardian. It names Meghalaya ST/SC/OST and Permanent Resident Certificates specifically. Treat a borrowed domicile as an unrecoverable risk, not a shortcut.

No. Clause 6 of the advertisement says so plainly: appearing and qualifying in NEET UG 2026 confers no right to admission. Selection depends on eligibility, rank in the merit list, medical fitness certified by a board constituted by the Health & Family Welfare Department, and any other criteria the Government of Meghalaya prescribes. PwBD assessment is only valid from Medical Assessment Boards notified under the latest NMC regulations.

Per the DME’s published shortlist (Notification No. DHSME&R.152/USTM/MBBS/2026/4845-A, 14 August 2026): 45 candidates were called for the 9 Unreserved seats, scoring 472 down to 400. 162 were called for the 26 Khasi & Jaintia seats, scoring 467 down to 306. 44 were called for the 26 Garo seats, scoring 380 down to 181. 12 were called for the 3 SC/OST seats, scoring 389 down to 226. 118 were called for the 64 Management seats, scoring 504 down to 179. No separate shortlist was published for the 22 NRI seats as of this writing. These are call-lists for document verification, not a final allotment result, and we have not published any individual candidate’s name or roll number here — check your own status directly at meghealth.gov.in.

Counselling for all quotas runs on 18, 19 and 20 August 2026 at the Office of the Director of Health Services, Medical Education & Research (DME), Top Floor, Health Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong — not at the PIMC campus in Baridua. A separate DME notice (No. DHSME&R.152/USTM/MBBS/2026/4847, 14 August 2026) states that no vehicles are permitted inside the Health Complex campus due to limited parking, so plan for drop-off and pick-up outside the campus. Bring all original documents listed in the 6 August advertisement, one set of self-attested photocopies, and one self-attested passport-size photo.

It's on right now — 1 to 3 September 2026, per the DME’s Notification No. DHSMER150./MBBS Admission/2026-27/5286 dated 31 August 2026. This round covers State Quota seats, including Central Pool seats and Shillong Medical College, across all five UG courses together: MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and BUMS. It's held at the Directorate of Health Services (MI) Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Health Complex, Laitumkhrah, Shillong-1, with candidates called in time slots across the three days. If you can't make your assigned Day 1 slot, the notice explicitly allows you to attend on Day 2 or Day 3 instead, so a missed first day does not cost you your place. Carry the originals: birth certificate, Permanent Residential Certificate, and SC/ST certificate where it applies.
