Freeze, Float and Withdraw — what they mean for your child

Freeze means keeping the seat you have; such a candidate is not in Round 3. Float means keeping the seat but trying for a better one; such a candidate, if reported at the college, is in Round 3. Withdrawing a seat takes your child out of Round 3 altogether. Think carefully before withdrawing.

Rules That Cost Students Seats

Check These Before You Click Submit

Delhi quota and region

Candidates who studied 10+2 (Class 11 and 12) in a recognised school or college in Delhi and passed the qualifying examination from a school or college located in Delhi only, are eligible for Delhi category / quota seats. Upload both Class 11 and Class 12 marksheets in one PDF. Candidates with a compartment in the qualifying exam are not considered, and provisional admission is not given for result-awaited, compartment or supplementary cases.

Category, sub-category and region can be corrected

You may correct your Category, Sub-Category and Region (whether Class 12 was passed from a school/college in Delhi or outside Delhi) in the application form. Allotment is made first in the claimed category and region and documents are checked afterwards. A seat taken on a wrong region, or on reserved-category documents that do not meet the rules in the UG Admission Brochure 2026-27, is cancelled. Since Class 12 results are out, upload your Class 12 marksheet and valid reserved-category certificates; without valid documents the seat secured on the claimed category or region is cancelled.

Fees and honesty

The application fee is Rs 2,500, non-refundable. Part academic fee paid for one programme is not adjusted against another programme. If any detail you give is found wrong or false at any stage, admission is cancelled and all fees paid are forfeited. Meet the NEET UG 2026 minimum cut-off percentile and score set under NMC/DCI/NCISM rules. The university will not be responsible for loss of a seat due to missed timelines, non-payment of fees, or wrong region or certificates.

Visit before you choose

The university advises parents and candidates to visit the affiliated colleges before choice filling to check location, hostel, transport and facilities. Requests about a college being far from your home or lacking transport will not be entertained after allotment.

Seats are allotted only by GGSIPU’s online counselling on merit. Do not pay anyone for a “guaranteed” Delhi seat — see our guide to spotting admission scams. For All India Quota and other states, see MCC counselling and the every-state deadline tracker.
