AMRU's Round 2 Schedule Is Out

No. AMRU/(COE)-Admission-120/2026-27(MBBS/BDS)-5085-5098, dated 3 September 2026, states that the last date for admission to MBBS/BDS 1st Round of Counselling for the Academic Session 2026-27 has been extended up to 4 September 2026, and that all eligible candidates should complete admission formalities within that extended time limit. The notice is explicit that no further extension will be allowed beyond that date, so 4 September was the final chance for anyone allotted a Round 1 seat who had not yet completed admission.

AMRU issued the Round 2 schedule on 2 September 2026, subsequent to MCC’s own revised national schedule. Fresh online counselling applications run 5 to 6 September. The 2nd round merit list and the vacancy position both publish 7 September. Filling and locking choices of Course/College/Quota for the 3rd round runs 8 to 9 September. Checked again on 25 August 2026 — the closing date for filling and locking choices — against AMRU's own website and notice board: the Final Merit List was published exactly on schedule on 21 August, no subsequent notice has revised this timetable, and the 1st Round Provisional seats Allocation (27 August) and Final seats Allocation (29 August) dates stand unchanged. AMRU has stated it will upload any change directly to www.amruhp.ac.in, so keep checking there through the allocation and joining dates.

Just this revised Round 1 window. The notice we have covers only the five steps from the final merit list through to joining, and states this schedule was revised specifically in response to MCC's own AIQ schedule change. It does not include the earlier registration or application steps that led up to the merit list, and it does not yet cover Round 2 or any later round. AMRU states plainly that any change or subsequent round counselling schedule will be uploaded on its website, and advises candidates to check www.amruhp.ac.in regularly until admission is complete.

This notice doesn't state the eligibility or domicile rules for Himachal Pradesh's state quota seats — it covers dates only. As with most states, government-college state-quota seats are typically reserved for domicile holders, with the 15% All India Quota through MCC the route that stays open regardless of home state. Confirm HP's specific domicile and quota rules directly with AMRU or in its Information Bulletin before assuming either way.

Any discrepancy in your merit must be emailed to counselling.amruhp@gmail.com by 5:00 PM, 28 August 2026. The notice states this allocation is provisional and indicative only — it is subject to change, gives you no right over the allotted seat, and cannot be challenged before a court of law.

AMRU's notice is direct on this: candidates claiming any reserved category or quota benefit must ensure every certificate and document is valid, updated and in the exact format specified in the Prospectus, prepared before the admission process begins. If a certificate is outdated, invalid or missing, the candidate loses entitlement to that category's benefit, with no exception stated. A confirmed provisional seat allotment does not by itself confer any right of admission either — final eligibility and category claims are subject to verification and approval by the concerned institute's Admission Committee.
