AMRU's Controller of Examinations, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, issued the Round 3 counselling schedule vide Endst. No. AMRU/(COE)-Admission-120/2026-27(MBBS/BDS)-5577-81, dated 19 September 2026, decided “subsequent to the revised schedule received from MCC, DGHS New Delhi, a revised schedule of State Counselling of Himachal Pradesh.” Candidates must fill a fresh online counselling application form between 22 and 27 September 2026 — this is explicit in AMRU's own notice and is not simply carried over from Round 2's choices.

Notice No. AMRU/(COE)-Admission-120/2026-27(MBBS/BDS)-5444, dated 15 September 2026, headed “Urgent Attention,” confirms the Revised Provisional Seat Allocation list of MBBS/BDS 2nd round counselling based on NEET UG 2026 is released — a system-generated list that supersedes AMRU's earlier 11 September provisional list (Notice No. -5378). Any discrepancy in the merit/allocation must be emailed to counselling.amruhp@gmail.com by 4:00 PM, 15 September 2026 — a same-day window, shorter than the roughly one-day window given for the 11 September list. As before, the notice states the provisional allocation is only indicative in nature, subject to change; candidates cannot claim any right over the allotted seat, and it cannot be challenged before a court of law. Candidates claiming a reserved-category or quota benefit must ensure their certificates and documents are valid, updated and in the prescribed Prospectus format — failing which the candidate is not entitled to that category/quota's benefit — and provisional allotment, if any, does not confer any right of admission, with final eligibility and category claims subject to verification and approval by the Admission Committee of the concerned institute. Candidates are advised to approach the allotted college/institute only after the Final Seat Allocation list and after downloading the Provisional allotment letter from the candidate's login; admission will not be considered without seat allocation of AMRU.
A timing point worth flagging, not a confirmed schedule change. This revised provisional list is dated 15 September 2026 — a day after AMRU's own Round 2 schedule had fixed 14 September for the Final seats allocation (row 6 in the table below). We have not seen a separate notice revising that 14 September final-allocation date; until AMRU publishes one, treat 14 September as effectively superseded in practice and confirm the current final-allocation date directly with AMRU or on www.amruhp.ac.in rather than assuming the rest of the Round 2 timeline stands exactly as originally published.

AMRU's note on this notice is the same as before: any change or subsequent round counselling schedule will be uploaded on www.amruhp.ac.in, so keep checking there rather than treating this table as unchangeable.
A wording quirk worth flagging, not a schedule change. Row 4 of AMRU's own table above literally reads “choices of Course/College/Quota for 3rd round of counselling,” even though every surrounding row (2, 3, 5, 6) is labelled 2nd round, and the table itself sits under a section titled “Round 2 Schedule.” We have transcribed the row exactly as AMRU printed it. It appears to be AMRU's own internal labelling slip rather than evidence of a separate, later 3rd round already under way — but we have not seen a corrected notice, so if you are counting on there being a distinct future 3rd round beyond what this page describes, confirm that directly with AMRU rather than inferring it from this one row.

This matches what a same-day counselling update independently reports for Himachal Pradesh, so we treat the 9 September date itself as solid — only the “3rd round” label in AMRU's own row 4 wording remains the open question addressed above.
Update, 7 September — the Provisional Seat Vacancy for 2nd Round is out, exactly on schedule (row 3 above). AMRU released the institute-wise, category-wise vacancy position for MBBS/BDS 2nd Round Counselling 2026 on 7 September 2026, breaking out HP Quota, Management Quota and NRI Quota seats separately for every participating college. The notice carries its own caution, worth repeating: some seats may become available due to upgradation or withdrawal by candidates during the round itself, so choices should be filled per your own preference rather than strictly by the displayed vacancy count. We have not reproduced the full multi-college table here — check your specific institute's numbers directly at www.amruhp.ac.in before filling choices.

Update, 3 September 2026 — the 1st Round admission deadline was extended by one day. AMRU's Endst. No. AMRU/(COE)-Admission-120/2026-27(MBBS/BDS)-5085-5098, dated 3 September 2026, states plainly: “the last date for admission to MBBS/BDS 1st Round of Counselling for the Academic Session 2026-27 has been extended up to 04.09.2026,” and that no further extension will be allowed beyond that date. If you were allotted a seat in Round 1 and hadn't yet completed admission by the original 3 September joining deadline, 4 September 2026 was your final chance — not a fresh window.
Update, 28 August 2026 — the Provisional Seat Allocation list is out. AMRU released the Provisional Seat Allocation list for MBBS/BDS 1st round counselling on 27 August 2026, per Notice No. AMRU/(COE)-Admission-120/2026-27(MBBS/BDS)-4856. The notice is explicit that this allocation is provisional and indicative only: it can change, it gives you no enforceable right over the seat shown, and it cannot be challenged in court. If you're claiming any reserved-category or quota benefit, your certificates must already be valid, updated and in the exact format the Prospectus specifies — an outdated, invalid or missing document means you lose that category's benefit, full stop. And a provisional seat, even a correct one, doesn't confer admission by itself; AMRU's Admission Committee still has to verify your documents and approve final eligibility.
Read this first. The notice we have covers only the 1st Round Counselling window — final merit list through to joining. It does not include the registration or application steps that led up to the merit list, nor does it state fees, eligibility or domicile rules. AMRU says plainly that any change or subsequent round counselling schedule will be uploaded on its website, and candidates should check www.amruhp.ac.in regularly until admission is complete.

Provisional, then final — two separate allocation steps, two days apart. AMRU's schedule allocates seats twice: a provisional allocation on 27 August, then a final allocation on 29 August. Read the notice on your provisional allocation carefully — whatever change window or confirmation step sits between the two (the notice we have doesn't spell this out) is worth confirming directly with AMRU rather than assuming your provisional seat is automatically your final one.

No. AMRU/(COE)-Admission-120/2026-27(MBBS/BDS)-5085-5098, dated 3 September 2026, states that the last date for admission to MBBS/BDS 1st Round of Counselling for the Academic Session 2026-27 has been extended up to 4 September 2026, and that all eligible candidates should complete admission formalities within that extended time limit. The notice is explicit that no further extension will be allowed beyond that date, so 4 September was the final chance for anyone allotted a Round 1 seat who had not yet completed admission.
AMRU issued the Round 2 schedule on 2 September 2026, subsequent to MCC’s own revised national schedule. Fresh online counselling applications run 5 to 6 September. The 2nd round merit list and the vacancy position both publish 7 September. Filling and locking choices of Course/College/Quota for the 3rd round runs 8 to 9 September. The 2nd Round Provisional seats Allocation is due 11 September, the 2nd Round Final seats Allocation on 14 September, and joining the allotted college and course runs 16 to 17 September 2026. Atal Medical & Research University, Himachal Pradesh (AMRU) is the state government university, headquartered at the SLBS Government Medical College & Hospital campus, Ner Chowk, Mandi, that runs common/centralised counselling for MBBS and BDS admission in the state. Its notice No. AMRU/(COE)-Admission-120/2026-27(MBBS/BDS)-4760-4770, dated 20 August 2026, sets out a revised 1st Round Counselling schedule, issued “subsequent to the revised schedule received from MCC, DGHS New Delhi.”
The Final Merit List of 1st round counselling publishes 21 August 2026. Filling and locking choices of course, college and quota runs 22 to 25 August. The 1st Round Provisional seats allocation is due 27 August, and the 1st Round of Final seats allocation on 29 August. Candidates then join their allotted college and course between 1 and 3 September 2026. All dates are from AMRU's own notice.
No further revision has been issued. Checked again on 25 August 2026 — the closing date for filling and locking choices — against AMRU's own website and notice board: the Final Merit List was published exactly on schedule on 21 August, no subsequent notice has revised this timetable, and the 1st Round Provisional seats Allocation (27 August) and Final seats Allocation (29 August) dates stand unchanged. AMRU has stated it will upload any change directly to www.amruhp.ac.in, so keep checking there through the allocation and joining dates.
Just this revised Round 1 window. The notice we have covers only the five steps from the final merit list through to joining, and states this schedule was revised specifically in response to MCC's own AIQ schedule change. It does not include the earlier registration or application steps that led up to the merit list, and it does not yet cover Round 2 or any later round. AMRU states plainly that any change or subsequent round counselling schedule will be uploaded on its website, and advises candidates to check www.amruhp.ac.in regularly until admission is complete.
This notice doesn't state the eligibility or domicile rules for Himachal Pradesh's state quota seats — it covers dates only. As with most states, government-college state-quota seats are typically reserved for domicile holders, with the 15% All India Quota through MCC the route that stays open regardless of home state. Confirm HP's specific domicile and quota rules directly with AMRU or in its Information Bulletin before assuming either way.

AMRU's notice is direct on this: candidates claiming any reserved category or quota benefit must ensure every certificate and document is valid, updated and in the exact format specified in the Prospectus, prepared before the admission process begins. If a certificate is outdated, invalid or missing, the candidate loses entitlement to that category's benefit, with no exception stated. A confirmed provisional seat allotment does not by itself confer any right of admission either — final eligibility and category claims are subject to verification and approval by the concerned institute's Admission Committee.
