Why OEF Was Started
in Guwahati in 2008
OEF began because students from Northeast India were being cheated. Agents made promises they could not keep. Families spent savings built over decades on decisions that were wrong before the money left the account. Somebody who had been through medical training in this region had watched it happen often enough to stop watching.
The idea behind the firm has not changed since. A student from Assam or Nagaland deserves the same quality of admission guidance as a student from Delhi or Bengaluru. Because OEF is led by a practising MBBS doctor, advice about which college to pick, which quota to claim and when to act comes from inside medical education rather than from a commission sheet.
Seventeen years and more than 2,000 students later, OEF is the name Northeast Indian families call when a child's future is on the line. We still say no to students when the honest answer is no.
