The short answer. In the General category, Medicine, OBG, Paediatrics and Orthopaedics cost ₹29.6 lakh a year, about ₹91 lakh for the three-year course with hostel and deposits. A Management seat in Medicine costs ₹53 lakh a year (about ₹1.61 crore for the course). Non-clinical seats are ₹5 lakh a year. SMIMS has no agents and warns of fake call letters.

The course fee stays the same in later years. At admission you also pay a caution deposit of ₹25,000 (refundable after the course) and a registration fee of ₹10,000 (non-refundable). Only double-sharing accommodation is available, at ₹66,000 a year. Paying in two instalments costs 4% more than a single annual payment (for example ₹30,78,000 against ₹29,60,000 in Medicine).
