Round 1 Seat Allotment Declared, Report by 5 September

Fresh registration, payment and final submission opened 18 August 2026, 3 PM, on the portal trmcc.admissions.nic.in. Under the revised schedule for Round 1, it now runs to 27 August 2026, 11 AM (server time) — extended nearly a week from the original 21 August close. This single window covers both tracks notified together: Tripura State Quota/Domicile seats for MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BUMS and BASLP courses, and separately, seats for "All India candidates other than Tripura Domicile" at Tripura Medical College & Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital and Tripura Santiniketan Medical College for the 2026-27 session. Two narrower same-day steps also apply on 27 August: registration unlocking closes at 9 AM, and a separate remove-discrepancy window runs to 11 AM. Choice filling then opens at 2 PM on 27 August and runs to 29 August, 12 Noon.

Second, report to the college you've actually been allotted, between 2 September (11 AM) and 5 September (5 PM), where your original documents get physically checked and you complete admission. Both steps must be finished by 5 September, 5 PM — no grace period is mentioned beyond that hour. Remember this allotment is provisional, not final: TRMCC can cancel it, the nomination, or even a completed admission at any later stage if a document turns out to be false, fabricated or incomplete, or if you don't meet NTA, MCC, NMC, Ministry of Ayush or TRMCC norms. Candidates allotted seats outside Tripura should also arrange a Medical Fitness Certificate from that institution and, where applicable, a Service Bond before the Nomination Letter is issued and a Discontinuation Bond at the time of admission.

105 in total for the 2026-27 session: 30 MBBS seats at Tripura Medical College (TMC) & Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital, and 75 MBBS seats at Tripura Santiniketan Medical College (TSMC), both reserved for All India candidates other than Tripura domicile, with seat matrices prepared by each college under the Central Reservation Policy, subject to state government approval. These are separate from the 15% All India Quota that MCC allots nationally — this is a state-notified All India category specific to Tripura's own colleges.

Registration fee: ₹2,500 for General and OBC-NCL (State Domicile) candidates; ₹2,000 for General-EWS (State Domicile) and OBC-NCL (Non-Domicile) candidates; ₹1,800 for SC/ST/PwD/Other candidates. It depends which round you were admitted in, and the rules tighten as rounds progress. A candidate admitted in Round 1 can participate in Round 2 for upgradation and, if not upgraded, keep the Round 1 seat. A candidate admitted to a Round 2 seat can upgrade in Round 3 but cannot resign it outright — resigning a Round 2 seat forfeits the security deposit. A candidate admitted to a Round 3 seat can neither upgrade nor resign; not joining a Round 3 allotment is treated as exit with forfeiture and elimination from further counselling. There is also no waiting list at any stage — a fresh round of counselling is held instead.

No. The notification states plainly that there will be no AIQ seats reverted to State Quota in Tripura's 2026 counselling. This differs from the practice in some other states, so do not assume an unfilled central seat will become available to a state-quota candidate later in the process.
