CENTAC UG NEET 2026 · URGENT — Deadline Moved to TODAY, 11 Sept, 3 PM

CENTAC Puducherry UG NEET 2026 —
Round 2 Fee & Round 1 Withdrawal Deadline Moved to TODAY, 3 PM

TODAY, 11 September 2026: per Corrigendum Ref. No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/16, dated 11.09.2026, the deadline for Round 2 registration-fee payment and for withdrawing/resigning a Round 1 admitted seat — earlier stated as 12 September, 3 PM — is corrected to TODAY, 11 September 2026, 3:00 PM, with no further extension to be entertained. MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BVSc & AH under the National Self-Supporting and NRI streams. Round 1 allotment is complete, and per the “List of Vacancies in UG NEET – MBBS/BDS/BAMS&BVSc&AH (National SS & NRI) Courses After Round 1,” dated 08-09-2026, CENTAC has published the Round 1 vacancy position, broken down by college, course and quota. Per Notice Ref.No.CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/14, dated 08.09.2026, Round 2 registration and course-preference filing was open from 8 to 10 September 2026, 5:00 PM, across Government, Management (MQ) and NRI quota, and Round 1-admitted candidates may take part in Round 2 without any limitation regarding their Round 1 allotment. That same Notice separately gives a candidate who has already joined a Round 1 seat until 11 September 2026, 5:00 PM to submit a Resignation Request Letter (Annexure–17) through the Login Dashboard without losing the fee — a five-o’clock deadline that has not been formally withdrawn but covers the same subject as today’s 3 PM corrigendum; see the urgent notice further down this page, and confirm with CENTAC which time governs your situation. One caveat worth flagging: the fee for Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College & Research Institute is currently set by a Court interim order in W.P.No.15159 of 2026, subject to the case’s final outcome — not a settled figure yet.

The short answer — updated TODAY, 11 September. CENTAC's Corrigendum Ref. No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/16, dated 11.09.2026, corrects the deadline for Round 2 registration-fee payment and for withdrawing/resigning a Round 1 admitted seat from 12 September, 3 PM to TODAY, 11 September 2026, 3:00 PM, with no further extension to be entertained. This appears to cover the same two processes as the Annexure–17 resignation route described below, whose deadline is separately stated as 11 September, 5:00 PM — we cannot confirm from the published text whether that is the identical deadline restated with a different time or a distinct process, so treat 3 PM as the safer, binding time and confirm with CENTAC before relying on 5 PM. CENTAC also published the Round 1 admitted list and, per the “List of Vacancies in UG NEET – MBBS/BDS/BAMS&BVSc&AH (National SS & NRI) Courses After Round 1,” dated 08-09-2026, the Round 1 vacancy position broken down by college (IGMC&RI, PIMS, SVMCH&RI/SVMCH&H, MGPGIDS, MINDS, SVDC, RGAMC, RIVER), course (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BVSc&AH) and quota (Government by category and region, Management — including a separate Telugu Minority allocation — and NRI/NRI-SP/OCI). Per Notice Ref.No.CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/14, dated 08.09.2026, Round 2 registration and course-preference filing is open from 8 September to 10 September 2026, 5:00 PM, across Government, Management (MQ) and NRI quota, and candidates already admitted in Round 1 — not only fresh registrants — may participate in Round 2 without any limitation regarding their Round 1 allotment. A candidate who has already joined a Round 1 seat and now wants to resign without forfeiting the fee can submit a Resignation Request Letter (Annexure–17, Page 81 of the UG NEET Information Brochure) through the Login Dashboard on or before 11 September 2026, 5:00 PM. Registration fees for Round 2 run from Rs.5,000 (EBC/SC/ST/GSS, Government quota) up to Rs.2,00,000 (Management or NRI quota) — see the table below; most Round 1-admitted candidates need not pay again, except EBC/SC/ST/GSS candidates, who must pay Rs.5,000 (Government) and Rs.2,00,000 (Management/NRI) to take part in Round 2. One important caveat: under an Interim Order dated 08/09/2026 in W.P.No.15159 of 2026, the fee structure for Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College & Research Institute (and, by extension, its Dental College) currently follows what the Hon’ble Court extracted in that order — this is court-supervised and subject to the case’s final outcome, not a settled fee. Breaking · Round 1 Vacancy List + Round 2 Registration, both dated 08.09.2026

Round 1 allotment is complete, and Round 2 registration is open right now. Per the “List of Vacancies in UG NEET – MBBS/BDS/BAMS&BVSc&AH (National SS & NRI) Courses After Round 1,” dated 08-09-2026, CENTAC has published the Round 1 vacancy position for eight colleges (IGMC&RI, PIMS, SVMCH&RI/SVMCH&H, MGPGIDS, MINDS, SVDC, RGAMC, RIVER) across MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BVSc&AH, split by Government (category and region), Management (with a separate Telugu Minority allocation) and NRI/NRI-SP/OCI quota. Separately, per Notice Ref.No.CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/14, dated 08.09.2026, Round 2 registration and course-preference filing is open 8–10 September 2026, 5:00 PM, and every registered candidate — including those already allotted a seat in Round 1 — can take part without limitation. If you joined a Round 1 seat and want to resign it without losing your fee, the Annexure–17 Resignation Request Letter route closes 11 September 2026, 5:00 PM. See the full breakdown, tables and fee schedule further down this page, and confirm your own row on centacpuducherry.in.

What came before this. CENTAC published the Seat Matrix and Fee Structure on 28 August 2026 (Notice No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/08), and candidates could update course preferences for Round 1 Allotment up to 31 August 2026, 11:00 AM. On 31 August 2026, CENTAC also released an Updated Revised Draft Merit List for the Management Quota (National & NRI), ranking 4,747 candidates against cutoffs of 213/194/177. Round 1 allotment and joining followed; we have not independently verified every intermediate step between that draft list and the Round 1 vacancy position published on 8 September (such as the exact Round 1 allotment and joining dates) — confirm the fuller sequence on centacpuducherry.in or through the Grievances option on your Login Dashboard, or call the helpline, 0413-2655570.

Round 1 Vacancy List & Round 2 Registration · 08 September 2026

Round 1 Vacancies, Round 2 Registration
and the Resignation Window

CENTAC published two documents on 8 September 2026: the “List of Vacancies in UG NEET – MBBS/BDS/BAMS&BVSc&AH (National SS & NRI) Courses After Round 1” and Notice Ref.No.CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/14, dated 08.09.2026, opening Round 2 registration. Between them, they cover what is vacant after Round 1, how to register and file preferences for Round 2, and how to resign a Round 1 seat without losing your fee.

URGENT · Corrigendum Ref. No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/16, dated 11.09.2026 — Deadline Moved to TODAY

The deadline is TODAY, 11 September 2026, 3:00 PM — not 12 September. CENTAC's Corrigendum Ref. No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/16, dated 11.09.2026, titled “Corrigendum for the Extension of Last Date for Round 2 Payment of Registration Fee / Withdrawal of Round 1 Admitted Seat for UG NEET Based Medical Courses,” states: in the Press Notice published 10.09.2026 for extension of the last date and time for payment of Registration Fee for Round 2 UG NEET allotment, and for submitting a resignation/withdrawal letter of a Round 1 admitted seat, “FOR: 12.09.2026, 3 p.m.” is to be READ AS “11.09.2026, 3 p.m.” In plain terms: a Press Notice on 10 September had set the deadline at 12 September, 3 PM; this corrigendum moves it earlier by a day, to TODAY, 11 September, 3 PM. CENTAC states plainly: “No further request for extension of time will be entertained.”

How this relates to the Annexure–17 resignation deadline shown elsewhere on this page. This corrigendum covers exactly two processes — Round 2 registration-fee payment, and withdrawal/resignation of a Round 1 admitted seat — which are the same two subjects as, respectively, the Round 2 registration window and the Annexure–17 Resignation Request Letter route already described on this page under Notice Ref.No.CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/14, dated 08.09.2026 (which separately states the Annexure–17 deadline as 11 September 2026, 5:00 PM). The overlap in subject matter and date is strong, but CENTAC's published corrigendum text does not itself cross-reference Notice /14 or Annexure–17 by name, and we have not seen the full text of the intervening 10 September Press Notice it corrects. We cannot fully confirm from the published notices whether “11 September, 3 PM” and “11 September, 5:00 PM” are the same deadline stated with an inconsistent time, or two distinct deadlines for different candidate categories. We report both times rather than silently pick one. To be safe on either reading, complete your Round 2 fee payment and/or Annexure–17 withdrawal before 3:00 PM today, and confirm directly with CENTAC (0413-2655570 / 2655571, or centacpuducherry.in) which time applies to your specific situation before treating either as final.

Breaking · Revised Round 1 Vacancy List, dated 09-09-2026

CENTAC issued a REVISED Round 1 vacancy list on 9 September 2026 — the “Revised List of Vacancies in UG NEET MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BVSc&AH (National SS & NRI) Courses After Round 1” — superseding the 08-09-2026 list referenced elsewhere on this page. We have checked it college by college: the Management Quota, Management Quota — Telugu Minority, and NRI Quota vacancy figures in the tables below are unchanged from the 08-09-2026 list. What is genuinely new is that, for the first time, the revised list also publishes the 85% Government Quota seat breakup category-wise (GEN/EWS/OBC/EBC/BCM/SC/ST/BT) and region-wise (Puducherry/Karaikal/Mahe/Yanam) for every Government Quota college — IGMC&RI, PIMS, SVMCH&RI/SVMCH&H, MGPGIDS, SVDC, MINDS and RGAMC. As with the Government Quota table just below, it is a dense, many-column table across four regions per college, and rather than risk a transcription error we are not reproducing it cell-by-cell here — check your own college, category and region directly on centacpuducherry.in. The revised list also reconfirms that 4 additional seats remain withheld pending the outcome of Writ Appeal W.A. No. 2674 of 2026 before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras.

Government Quota vacancies — check your own row

The Government Quota table in CENTAC's Round 1 vacancy list breaks seats down by college (IGMC&RI, PIMS, SVMCH&RI/SVMCH&H, MGPGIDS, MINDS, SVDC, RGAMC, RIVER), course (MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BVSc&AH) and quota — Government seats split further by category (GEN/EWS/OBC/MBC/EBC/BCM/SC/ST/BT/PWD/FF/ESM/MSP) and by region (Puducherry/Karaikal/Mahe/Yanam), plus Management seats (with a separate Telugu Minority allocation) and NRI/NRI-SP/OCI seats. It is a dense, many-column table spanning eight colleges and four courses. Rather than risk a transcription error on a table this size, we are not reproducing every college/region/category cell here — look up your own college, course, region and category directly on centacpuducherry.in. The Management Quota, Management Quota — Telugu Minority, and NRI Quota tables below are single-number-per-row and are reproduced in full.

Round 2 registration and course-preference filing

Notice Ref.No.CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/14, dated 08.09.2026

The Round 1 admitted list and vacancy position are published on centacpuducherry.in. Candidates can participate in Round 2 without any limitation regarding Round 1 allotment, if any — this applies to every registered candidate, including those already allotted a seat in Round 1. For the first-year MBBS, BDS, BAMS (Ayurveda) and B.V.Sc.&A.H. (National SS) courses at Government and Self-Financing Medical, Dental and Ayurveda colleges in the UT of Puducherry, payment of the Registration Fee and filing of Course Preferences under Government, Management (MQ) and NRI quota is open from 08.09.2026 to 10.09.2026, 5:00 PM. Only those who pay the Registration Fee will be considered for Round 2 — except that candidates already admitted through Round 1 counselling (other than EBC/SC/ST/GSS candidates) can take part in Round 2 without paying it again. EBC/SC/ST/GSS (Government School Quota) candidates admitted in Round 1 must still pay Rs.5,000 (Government Quota) and Rs.2,00,000 (Management Quota/NRI Quota) to participate in Round 2.

Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College fee — court-supervised, not yet final. In accordance with an Interim Order dated 08/09/2026 in W.P.No.15159 of 2026, the fee structure for Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College and Research Institute is, for now, whatever the Hon'ble Court extracted in Para 3 of that order — and, as a corollary, the fee for the Dental College run by Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College & Research Institute follows the same order's MBBS-course figure. This is an interim arrangement under active litigation, subject to the case's final outcome — do not treat it as a permanently settled fee.

Resigning a Round 1 admitted seat, without losing your fee

Candidates who joined their CENTAC-allotted seat in Round 1 and now want to resign or withdraw it without forfeiture of fee may submit a Resignation Request Letter (Annexure–17, Page No. 81 of the UG NEET Information Brochure) through their candidate Login Dashboard on or before 11 September 2026, 5:00 PM, per Notice Ref.No.CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/14. This is a narrower window than the Round 2 registration period above — act early if you intend to withdraw rather than move within Round 2. Important update, TODAY 11 September: Corrigendum Ref. No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/16, dated 11.09.2026, separately corrects a Round 2 fee-payment/Round 1 seat-withdrawal deadline to TODAY, 11 September 2026, 3:00 PM, with no further extension — see the urgent notice above. We cannot confirm whether that 3 PM deadline is this same Annexure–17 resignation deadline restated with a different time, or a separate process, so complete your withdrawal by 3 PM today to be safe on either reading, and confirm with CENTAC which time applies to you.

Why This Reopened, and Who It Actually Helps

Three Different Situations,
Three Different Rules

CENTAC reopened applications on candidate request, not as a routine extension — the notice frames it as a response to requests received. That matters because the rules differ sharply depending on where you already stand.

Your situationWhat you can do by 14 August, 5:00 PM
Never registeredApply fresh, in full, like any new applicant
Registered but never completedEdit and submit your existing application
Waiting on renewed certificatesAttach your old certificates now and complete the application — but you must still submit the renewed versions before the Final Merit List is published
Already submitted for Govt/Management Quota, now want Management/NRI tooRaise a Grievance request — select “Request to Edit Application and Apply for MQ/NRI Quota” before 3:00 PM on 14 August, then complete and resubmit before 5:00 PM the same day
Completed & submitted before 8 August, 5:00 PMYour data is frozen — the Edit option is closed for you. You may still submit additional certificates through the Grievance option, but you cannot modify your application data

Do not submit a duplicate application to work around a closed Edit option. The notice is explicit: if you submit a duplicate application to try to update or modify frozen data, both applications will be rejected. If you completed and submitted before 8 August and need a genuine change beyond a certificate upload, your only route is the Grievance option in your dashboard — not a second application.

One detail that trips applicants every year: when filling the CENTAC form, enter your All India counselling rank where the form asks for it, not your NEET marks or your state rank. And OBC candidates applying for BVSc & AH national self-supporting seats must attach an All India OBC non-creamy-layer certificate, not a state OBC certificate.

A Different Scheme — Don't Confuse the Two

CENTAC Also Runs an AYUSH Scheme —
But It Isn't Open to You

Separately from the MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BVSc stream this page is mainly about, CENTAC also administers a sponsored-seat scheme for B.S.M.S. (Siddha), B.U.M.S. (Unani) and B.H.M.S. (Homoeopathy) courses. Puducherry does not run its own government colleges for these three courses, so candidates with Puducherry UT domicile are sponsored into government Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy colleges in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka instead, under a category the notice calls “deficient states/Union Territories.”

This one is not for you unless you hold Puducherry domicile. Unlike the National Self-Supporting and NRI streams covered above, this AYUSH sponsored-seat scheme is restricted to candidates of the Union Territory of Puducherry. A Northeast India applicant without Puducherry domicile does not qualify for it, however strong the NEET score. We are including it here only so you do not mistake it for another open door.

For Puducherry-domicile readers: under Ref. No. CENTAC/AYUSH/2026/02, dated 31 July 2026, the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee (Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy) extended its online submission deadline for these BSMS/BUMS/BHMS applications to 7 August 2026. CENTAC correspondingly extended the deadline to submit a self-attested hard copy of the application to 10 August 2026, 5:00 PM. Apply online at www.tnayushselection.org, and track your submission through www.centacpuducherry.in. Grievances go through the CENTAC login dashboard, or call the helpline on 0413-2655570 / 2655571.

After You Apply

Merit Lists, Allotment
and the Forfeiture Trap

Draft merit list, then objections

CENTAC publishes a draft merit list and opens a short objections window, usually days rather than weeks, and it has extended that window in other streams this year. Check your own entry carefully — category, rank, quota — the moment the draft list appears. A wrong entry corrected at draft stage is routine; the same error after the final list is not.

Final merit list and choice filling

Allotment runs online across Round 1, Round 2 and a mop-up round, with a stray round if vacancies remain. CENTAC publishes vacancy lists after each round, which is genuinely useful information — you can see exactly what is left before you decide whether to hold or move.

Registration fee forfeiture

Read this clause in the brochure before Round 2. Once the final allotment list of the second round is published, a candidate who fails to join forfeits the registration fee, and the amount varies by quota — NRI applicants pay and therefore risk the most. This is the single most common way families lose money in Puducherry.

Admission is completed in person

Final document verification and admission happen at the allotted college. Budget for the travel from the Northeast and factor in a buffer day. CENTAC's office is at Kamarajar Manimandapam, Karuvadikuppam, Puducherry, and the helpdesk answers between 10 AM and 5 PM on 0413-2655570 and 0413-2655571.

No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/16, dated 11.09.2026, “Corrigendum for the Extension of Last Date for Round 2 Payment of Registration Fee / Withdrawal of Round 1 Admitted Seat for UG NEET Based Medical Courses”: the 12.09.2026, 3 p.m. deadline in the 10 September Press Notice is corrected to read 11.09.2026 (TODAY), 3 p.m. — moved a day earlier, not extended. No further request for extension of time will be entertained. This appears to cover the same subject as the Annexure–17 resignation deadline (11 September, 5:00 PM) stated under the 08.09.2026 Notice /14 above; we flag both times rather than pick one — see the urgent notice further up this page.

We are not an agent of any counselling authority, we cannot influence any allotment, and no seat in India can be obtained without a valid NEET UG 2026 score. Rechecked again 11 September 2026, against CENTAC's Corrigendum Ref. No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/16, dated 11.09.2026, which moves a Round 2 fee-payment/Round 1 withdrawal deadline to TODAY, 3 PM — this same-day deadline moved earlier, not later, so if you are affected, act before you finish reading this page rather than after.

CENTAC FAQs

Questions Parents Ask Us

Has the Round 2 fee-payment / Round 1 withdrawal deadline changed?
+

Yes. Per CENTAC Corrigendum Ref. No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/16, dated 11.09.2026, the deadline stated in the 10 September 2026 Press Notice as 12 September 2026, 3 p.m. for (a) payment of the Round 2 registration fee and (b) submitting a resignation/withdrawal letter for a Round 1 admitted seat has been corrected to 11 September 2026 (TODAY), 3 p.m. — moved a day earlier, not extended — and CENTAC states plainly that no further request for extension of time will be entertained. One important note: this page separately states, under Notice Ref.No.CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/14, dated 08.09.2026, that a Round 1-joined candidate may resign via an Annexure–17 Resignation Request Letter by 11 September 2026, 5:00 PM. The corrigendum’s 3 PM deadline covers the same two subjects — Round 2 fee payment and Round 1 seat withdrawal/resignation — as that 5 PM Annexure–17 route, but we cannot confirm from the published notices whether these are the same deadline restated with an inconsistent time, or two distinct deadlines for different candidate categories. We report both times rather than silently pick one: treat 3 PM today as the safer, binding time, and confirm directly with CENTAC (0413-2655570 / 2655571, or centacpuducherry.in) which deadline applies to your specific situation before relying on either.

Has CENTAC revised the Round 1 vacancy list for Puducherry UG NEET 2026?
+

Yes. CENTAC issued a REVISED Round 1 vacancy list on 9 September 2026, superseding the 08-09-2026 list. The college-wise Management Quota, Management Quota — Telugu Minority, and NRI Quota vacancy figures are unchanged. What is new is that the revised list, for the first time, also publishes the 85% Government Quota seat breakup category-wise (GEN/EWS/OBC/EBC/BCM/SC/ST/BT) and region-wise (Puducherry/Karaikal/Mahe/Yanam) for every Government Quota college — IGMC&RI, PIMS, SVMCH&RI/SVMCH&H, MGPGIDS, SVDC, MINDS and RGAMC. It is a dense, many-column table, so check your own college, category and region directly on centacpuducherry.in rather than relying on a summarised figure here. The revised list also reconfirms that 4 additional seats remain withheld pending Writ Appeal W.A. No. 2674 of 2026 before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras.

Is Round 2 open for Puducherry NEET UG admission, and can I withdraw my Round 1 seat?
+

Yes. CENTAC published the Round 1 admitted list and vacancy position on centacpuducherry.in, and per Notice Ref.No.CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/14, dated 08.09.2026, Round 2 registration and course-preference filing under Government, Management (MQ) and NRI quota is open from 8 September to 10 September 2026, 5:00 PM. Every registered candidate can participate in Round 2 without any limitation regarding Round 1 allotment, including candidates already allotted a seat in Round 1. Registration fees run from Rs.5,000 (EBC/SC/ST/GSS, Government quota) to Rs.2,00,000 (Management or NRI quota); most Round 1-admitted candidates need not pay again, except EBC/SC/ST/GSS candidates, who must pay Rs.5,000 (Government) plus Rs.2,00,000 (Management/NRI) to take part in Round 2. If you have already joined your Round 1 seat and want to resign or withdraw it without forfeiting your fee, submit a Resignation Request Letter (Annexure–17, Page 81 of the UG NEET Information Brochure) through your Login Dashboard on or before 11 September 2026, 5:00 PM. One caveat: the fee for Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College & Research Institute (and its Dental College) currently follows an Interim Order dated 08/09/2026 in W.P.No.15159 of 2026 — a court-supervised arrangement, subject to the case’s final outcome, not yet a settled fee.

Has CENTAC published the seat matrix and can I still update my preferences?
+

Yes to both. Per Notice No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/08, dated 28 August 2026, CENTAC published the Seat Matrix and Fee Structure for UG NEET courses (MBBS, BDS, BAMS) at Government and Self-financing colleges on centacpuducherry.in the same day. The fee structure for Sri Venkateshwara Medical College will be published separately once its Competent Authority approval is received. Candidates can update their course preferences for Round 1 Allotment on or before 31 August 2026, 11:00 AM — do this even if you are largely satisfied with your existing preferences, because CENTAC states plainly that candidates whose course preferences are empty will not be considered for allotment. Queries go through the Grievances option on your Login Dashboard, or the helpline, 0413-2655570.

What is the CENTAC UG NEET 2026 last date?
+

14 August 2026, 5:00 PM, with no further extension stated. The window originally closed 6 August, then reopened for fresh applications from 12 August 2026 (Ref. No. CENTAC/UG-NEET/2026/04) on candidate request. This covers MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BVSc & AH under the National Self-Supporting and NRI categories. The exact rules differ depending on whether you are a fresh applicant, an incomplete registrant, or someone who already submitted before 8 August.

Can a candidate from outside Puducherry apply through CENTAC?
+

Yes, and this is what makes CENTAC unusually relevant to Northeast India families. The current notification covers the National Self-Supporting and NRI categories, which are open to candidates from other states. Government quota seats remain restricted to Puducherry residents, who must furnish a residence affidavit in the format CENTAC prescribes. Read the brochure's quota definitions before paying, because the application fee differs by quota.

Which courses are covered?
+

MBBS, BDS, BAMS (Ayurveda) and BVSc & AH under the National Self-Supporting and NRI streams, open to candidates from any state. CENTAC separately runs a BSMS, BUMS and BHMS sponsored-seat scheme in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka government Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy colleges, but that one is restricted to Puducherry UT domicile candidates only. B.Sc Nursing runs through the UG Non-NEET process, which closed earlier in June.

How does CENTAC counselling work after the application?
+

CENTAC verifies residence claims, publishes a Draft Merit List, invites objections, then publishes the Final Merit List. Online choice filling and allotment follow across Round 1, Round 2 and a mop-up round, with a stray round if seats remain vacant. Watch the forfeiture rules: after the final allotment list in the second round, a candidate who fails to join forfeits the registration fee, and the amounts are quota-dependent.

Is it worth applying with only a few days left?
+

If your NEET UG 2026 score is a qualifying one and you are open to a self-supporting or NRI seat, yes — a live window with a firm deadline is worth more than a closed one you regret. Applications received so far this cycle are still in the hundreds rather than the tens of thousands, which is a very different competitive picture from Karnataka or Tamil Nadu. Call us on 9085064444 and we will go through the brochure conditions with you today.

Is the BSMS/BUMS/BHMS sponsored-seat extension open to Northeast India students?
+

No. Under Ref. No. CENTAC/AYUSH/2026/02, dated 31 July 2026, the Tamil Nadu Selection Committee extended the online submission deadline for these sponsored seats to 7 August 2026, and CENTAC extended the hard-copy submission deadline to 10 August 2026, 5:00 PM. But this scheme sponsors Puducherry UT domicile candidates into BSMS, BUMS and BHMS seats in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka government colleges — it is not open to candidates from Assam or any other state outside Puducherry. Do not confuse it with the National Self-Supporting and NRI stream on this page, which is open to any state.

Has Puducherry CENTAC published the Management Quota (NRI/National) merit list for 2026?
+

Yes. On 31 August 2026, CENTAC released an updated, revised draft merit list for UG NEET courses (MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BVSc & AH) under the Management Quota — Overall category, covering both National-level (other-state) candidates and NRI-quota candidates. It is a large list, ranking roughly 4,747 candidates by their NEET All India Rank, and it prints the cutoff marks CENTAC used to build it: 213 for General/EWS, 194 for General-PH, and 177 for OBC, MBC, SC, EBC, BCM, ST, BT and PH. A few entries carry footnote markers — for an Equivalence Certificate requirement, for the Internal-Puducherry UT Domicile Quota, for private-institution-only eligibility, or because they are tied to the outcome of Writ Appeal W.A. 2674 of 2026 — so read the footnotes against your own row if one applies to you. This is still called a draft, not a final allotment, so do not treat it as a settled seat. The safest approach is to open the list yourself on centacpuducherry.in and search for your own application number or name, rather than trusting a rank someone forwards you on WhatsApp.
