NEET PG 2026 College Reporting Guide —
Service Bonds, Fees and Documents for 25 Colleges
In one line: Before you join an MD/MS seat, the college asks for three things the allotment letter does not explain: a service bond (from ₹10 lakh to ₹50 lakh in the colleges below, for 1 to 3 years of government service), fees in an exact form (demand drafts in a named payee, online portals or cash) and documents in a set format (stamp papers, photographs, a pen drive with PDFs under a size limit). This guide lists all three for 25 government, autonomous, ESIC and deemed colleges in 12 states, as their 2026-27 joining notices state them.
Last verified · 27 October 2026 · compiled by OEF counsellors from the 2026-27 NEET PG joining notices of each college listed; confirm every amount in your own college’s notice before you pay or sign
The short answer. The highest bonds in this list are ₹50 lakh (Maharashtra government colleges such as B.J. GMC Pune and Yavatmal, and the discontinuation bond at GMC Nizamabad), followed by ₹40 lakh in Gujarat (GMC Surat, M.P. Shah GMC Jamnagar), at ASMC Hardoi (degree) and as a cheque leaflet at Madurai Medical College. ESIC Chennai and GIPMER Delhi ask for ₹10 lakh. Most service periods are 1 year; ESIC and the UP autonomous colleges ask for 2, and Karnataka colleges add a separate 3-year commitment. Carry originals, the exact DDs and the stamp papers on the first day: a missing bond or DD is the most common reason a joining is delayed.

“Amount not stated” means the joining notice we compiled does not give a rupee figure; the bond still applies as per the State Government rules quoted in the notice.
Which Colleges Ask for
the Biggest Bonds
Ten colleges in this list put a rupee figure on the bond. Sorted from the highest:
| College | Bond or penalty | Service | What you sign or deposit |
|---|---|---|---|
| B.J. Government Medical College, Pune | ₹50 lakh | 1 year | Bond |
| Government Medical College, Nizamabad | ₹50 lakh | 1 year | Discontinuation + service bond |
| Shri Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College, Yavatmal | ₹50 lakh | 1 year | Bond |
| Autonomous State Medical College, Hardoi | ₹40 lakh | 2 years | Bond |
| Government Medical College, Surat | ₹40 lakh | 1 year | Bond |
| Madurai Medical College, Madurai | ₹40 lakh | As notified | Cheque leaflet |
| Shri M.P. Shah Government Medical College, Jamnagar | ₹40 lakh | 1 year | Solvency + undertaking |
| ESIC Medical College & Hospital, K.K. Nagar, Chennai | ₹10 lakh | 2 years | Bond + 2 bank guarantees |
| G.B. Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (GIPMER), New Delhi | ₹10 lakh | 1 year | Surety bond (2 sureties) |
Three instruments are not ordinary bonds. Madurai Medical College asks for a cheque leaflet of ₹40 lakh with your originals (G.O. 507 of 3 November 2025). ESIC Chennai asks for bank guarantees of ₹5 lakh at the start of the 2nd and 3rd years, on top of the ₹10 lakh bond. M.P. Shah GMC Jamnagar asks for ₹10 lakh bond solvency plus a ₹30 lakh undertaking, with 15 days’ grace on written application. Arrange the bank guarantee or solvency certificate before you travel; banks take days to issue them.
Fees, Demand Drafts, Bonds
and Submission Rules
Grouped as compiled; each block is one college’s joining notice. Contacts are the college’s official office lines, emails and websites. We do not republish bank account numbers or the mobile numbers of individual officers: read those only in the notice on the college or MCC website, so that no one can send you a look-alike notice with a different account.

Make the pen drive once, correctly. Scan each original in colour at 150–200 dpi, save one PDF per document, compress each file under the college’s limit (300 KB is the most common), name files the way the notice asks (for example Degree_RahulSharma.pdf for Dhule), and keep a second copy on your phone. Colleges that ask for a CD or DVD (BRIMS Bidar) will not accept a pen drive in its place.

Which Certificate Is Valid
for AIQ and for State Seats
| Claim | All India Quota (MCC) | State-specific rule in our compilation |
|---|---|---|
| OBC-NCL | Central-list OBC-NCL certificate in the MCC Annexure format, issued on or after 1 April 2026 (income of financial year 2025-26) | Maharashtra: caste certificate, caste validity certificate and non-creamy layer valid up to 31 March 2027 |
| EWS | EWS certificate in the central format, issued on or after 1 April 2026 | Use the State format where the state counselling asks for it |
| SC / ST | Certificate in the format given in the MCC information bulletin | Maharashtra: caste validity certificate as well |
| PwD | Disability certificate generated through the MCC process from an NMC-designated medical board | Same board certificate; the college re-checks it at joining |
A certificate in the wrong format or issued before the cut-off date is the commonest reason a reserved-category seat is cancelled at the college. Check the date on your OBC-NCL or EWS certificate today. Gujarat applies its solvency and bank-guarantee rules equally to AIQ and State Quota joiners.

Candidates Must Produce

| Sponsor status | Valid foreign passport and visa, or OCI/PIO card, with the NRI certificate from the Indian Embassy or Consulate |
| Relationship proof | Official documents proving the relationship within the degrees the Supreme Court and MCC allow (MCC cites CODEUNIK, W.P.(C) No. 689 of 2017) |
| Remittance proof | Fees paid from the sponsor’s foreign bank account or NRE account, in US dollars or the rupee equivalent |
| Deemed university | NRI quota fee per year (2026-27 notice) | Paid how |
|---|---|---|
| BLDE (Shri B.M. Patil Medical College), Vijayapura | US$12,500 to US$95,000, by branch | Only from the sponsor’s foreign or NRE account, through the university portal |
| JSS Medical College, Mysuru | US$84,850 to US$1,20,000, by branch, plus other fees ₹1,61,850 a year | As the university notice directs |
Sponsor rules, the Indian-to-NRI conversion and the 15% deemed-seat share are explained on our NRI quota MD/MS admission guide. A family that pays from a resident Indian account risks the NRI seat being cancelled at verification.

What the Law Says
and What to Check Before You Sign
Yes. On 19 August 2019 the Supreme Court upheld compulsory service bonds for admission to PG medical and super-specialty courses in Association of Medical Super Speciality Aspirants and Residents vs. Union of India, and asked the Union and the medical regulator to frame a uniform policy. Until one exists, each State sets its own bond: the period, the penalty and whether it is a bond, a surety, a bank guarantee or a cheque. The amounts in this guide come from those State orders, quoted in each college’s notice. LiveLaw report on the judgment.
| Before you sign | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Read the penalty and the service period in the bond itself | The figure in the bond, not in a WhatsApp forward, is what you owe if you leave or skip service |
| Check the discontinuation clause separately | Some colleges (Nizamabad, ₹50 lakh) charge for leaving the seat, apart from the service bond |
| Buy the exact stamp paper value | ₹100, ₹200, ₹500 or ₹1,000 e-stamp or judicial paper, as the notice says; a wrong value is rejected |
| Get notarisation or sureties ready | GIPMER needs two sureties; NRS Kolkata wants notarised bonds |
| Keep a copy of every signed bond | You will need it at the end of the course to get your originals back |
No one can reserve or sell an MD/MS seat. Every PG seat, management and NRI quota included, is allotted only through MCC or state counselling on your NEET PG rank. Pay fees only to the college or university, by the mode its notice names, against a receipt.
Sources, Method and
What We Left Out
OEF counsellors compiled this guide on 27 October 2026 from the NEET PG 2026-27 joining and reporting notices issued by each of the 25 colleges, as published on the college websites and the MCC portal for Round 1 reporting. Amounts are as the notices state them. Where a figure was garbled in a copy, we corrected it only when the notice’s own arithmetic shows the right figure (for ASMC Hardoi, tuition of ₹42,000 plus ₹6,000 and ₹5,000 gives the stated ₹53,000).
We deliberately leave out bank account numbers, IFSC codes and the personal mobile numbers of named nodal officers. Fake “college” messages copy such details to divert fees. Take account details only from the notice on the college or MCC website, and pay only by the mode it names.
Fees and bonds can be revised for later rounds. If your college has issued a newer notice, it overrides this page; send it to us and we will update the entry. Questions Doctors Ask Us
Before Joining
It depends on the State. In the 25 colleges in this guide it runs from Rs 10 lakh (ESIC Chennai, GIPMER Delhi) to Rs 50 lakh (B.J. GMC Pune, Shri Vasantrao Naik GMC Yavatmal, and the discontinuation bond at GMC Nizamabad). Gujarat colleges ask for Rs 40 lakh and ASMC Hardoi Rs 40 lakh for a degree and Rs 20 lakh for a diploma.
Usually 1 year after the course (Gujarat, Maharashtra, GIPMER Delhi, GMC Nizamabad). ESIC Chennai and the UP autonomous colleges ask for 2 years, and Karnataka colleges such as BMCRI and GIMS take a 1-year service bond and a separate 3-year commitment bond.
