National Institute of Technology - [NIT], Silchar/BE.B.Tech

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar is a Deemed University established in the year 1967 and located in Silchar city of Assam. The institute is approved by The University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). The university is establishing unique identity by developing of a high quality human and knowledge resources in varied areas of technologies to meet local, national, and international economic and social need and human society at large in a self-sustained manner. Under NIT Silchar Admissions 2019, the university offers numerous UG, PG and Ph.D. courses. Admission to certain courses will be on the basis of Entrance Exams – JEE Main (B.Tech.), GATE (M.Tech.), JAM (M.Sc.) and CAT/MAT/CMAT (MBA).

Objectives :

To impart the best technical education at both the Under Graduate and the Post Graduate level, so as to train the students to be able to boldly face a world that is being transformed by scientific and technological advances To engage in research work, beneficial to Industry as well as society and disseminate the research findings. To provide knowledge based technological services to satisfy the needs of the industry as well as society. To help in building national capabilities in developing technologies, opening up new vistas in education and research. To promote Institute-Industry interaction through sponsored research by sponsoring faculty to work in Industry for short terms and by inviting people from Industry to deliver lectures etc. To promote national integration and impart value based education.
