Annamacharya College of Pharmacy

Annamacharya College of Pharmacy (ANCP) was established in the year 2003 by Annamacharya Educational Trust. The college offers B. Pharmacy, M. Pharmacy, Pharm. D. and Pharm. D. (PB) courses.

ANCP took-in its first batch of students in the academic year 2003-04.

Based in the birth place of “The singing saint Annamacharya”, on Chennai-Mumbai highway, the college is well connected by road and train.

ANCP is managed by an able and enthusiastic management selected by the Trust. The Annamacharya Educational Trust was established in the year 1997 with a goal to promote quality education. Their mission is to start various courses to impart futuristic technical education, and install high patterns of discipline.

Our Trust

The Annamacharya Educational Trust was established in the year 1997 with the goal to promote quality education by starting various courses to impart futuristic technical education, and install high patterns of discipline.

The mission of the Annamacharya Educational Trust is to provide quality education to the needy students of rural/backward areas. The Trust proposes to establish more technical and non-technical institutions in Andhra Pradesh.

As one of the prestigious part of the Trust, The Annamacharya College of Pharmacy at Rajampet, is attracting students from all over the state because of its systematically conducted classes, and standard procedures.

The college has Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, and Pharma Biotechnology departments with well qualified staff. ANCP efficiently maintains the student and staff ratio as per the norms.

The college works as a guiding light for new students, by getting them familiarized with different aspects of Pharmacy. Guest lectures are organized on a regular basis that also includes participation of eminent personalities in Pharmacy and Medicine. The institution’s governing body and academic committee are constituted as per AICTE & affiliating university (JNTUA) norms. The governing body meetings are held frequently for the approval of academic and developmental activities.

The college has a wonderful garden with 100+ medicinal plants, that are specially created by the students under the guidance and supervision of the staff. ANCP has a fully facilitated library that dons a rich collection books and journals on various subjects. The library also has an internet provision.

In addition to that there are a total 14 laboratories belonging to various department of Pharmacy in the institution. These laboratories are well equipped and facilitated as per the guidelines set by AICTE, PCI, NBA and JNTUA.

The students are encouraged to attend various seminars and conferences in and around the state.  They have presented scientific papers and participated in various competitions, and have also won prizes. The Annamacharya College of Pharmacy students have also visited many pharmaceutical manufacturing industries and hospital pharmacy administrations.

The students with support of the staff have been receiving necessary inputs to participate in number of educative and welfare programmes, such as undergoing training in community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, industrial pharmacy. They also actively participate in various social welfare programmes, regular institutional functions like welcoming the fresher (within month of their joining), farewell to their seniors, games and sports day, annual day and professional functions related to the community.

ANCP aims for academic excellence, and have so far conducted:

Post pass-out our students have settled in various industries, hospital and community pharmacy services with prompt approval of Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

The institution is working sincerely for the student’s employment by inviting campus interviews. So far, 100+ students were recruited in various pharmaceutical companies through our placement cell. The institution continues to send students database to various industries, and has been consistently guiding them on how to settle-down in a professional environment.

The institution is ready to get the NBA accreditation.

ANCP also guides its students on how to further enrol for higher studies in India, and abroad, by inviting various eminent professionals. Until now, 50 of our D. Pharmacy students are studying B. Pharmacy with the help of lateral entry scheme in various institutions.

The institution has taken the responsibly to give back to the society, able pharmacy professionals.
