Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences Bangalore VIMS is very particular about the attendance issue and even more about disciplinary actions. Every student is required to attend at least seventy fifth in each subject and a maximum of fifty relaxation is allowed if he or she has an outstanding academic record. Below which no one can save you from getting a year back. Dress codes are mandatory; formals for guys and salwaar kameez for ladies. Women and guys have to sit in separate rows in class, they aren't supposed to walk or talk even outside class while in the campus. Mobile phones are taken if found being used (or even otherwise if there happens to be a surprise check).
