Vikas Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences

The Society consist of nine active executive committee members with eighteen General Body members in addition to nine highly experienced seniors enriched and excelled in the fields of education and charitable and promotional activities as Patrons. These patrons consistently guide the society and the promoters are actively associated with various social, charitable and educational activities so far through out their life. The Chairman of the society is Sri. J. Lakshmi Narayana is Retired from the Services of Government of A.P. as Deputy Collector and actively involved in various charitable and promotional activities of the education. The Secretary, Sri. T.V. Narayana, is the guiding force of the society and he is professional in Pharmacy with experience of more than 18 years in teaching. He is National Secretary of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (Education Division) and actively involved in organizing various seminars, conferences, workshops to the pharmacy teachers, students to up date their knowledge with the latest development taking place in pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Globally. He has attended many International Conferences organized by FIP, FAPA, AASP, SEAR Pharm Forum, WHO and presented 24 papers to his credit. He is nominated as Global Pharma Education Task Force Member in the 67th World Congress of FIP held at Beijing, China in 2007. He is also involved in various Social and charitable activities and so far helped more than 50 students financially in pursuing their education. He has guided nearly 1500 students so far in the field of pharmacy. The Vice- Chairman, Sri. T.Srinivasa Rao, Treasurer Smt. Nagakumari, Joint Secretary Smt. Durgarani, Directors Sri T. Nageshkumar, Smt. Sarada, Sri Uma Maheswara Rao and Padmavathi are highly qualified and educated people who are actively involved in uplifting and fulfilling the objectives of the society.

To provide highest standards of pharmacy profession and to develop global competencies with successful implementation of Good Pharmacy Education Practice. To project the role of future pharmacist as important and competent health care professional in providing the optimal value services to the society.

Mission

To meet the needs of Society at large locally, regionally and worldwide with growth of students as well as for contribution of the institution. To promote Industry-Institute interaction, linkages envisaged along with the strategies for developing new products, services and patents. To cope up with the swift changes and to Redesign-Reorient the educational and training programmes to meet the global challenges. To train future pharmacist of India as Seven-Star Pharmacist as per the guidelines of FIP (Federation of International Pharmacists) and WHO. To provide necessary knowledge and skills to commence practicing competently in a variety of settings including Community, Hospital pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Industry.
