Subbaiah Institute of Dental Sciences Shimoga under the aegis of Tadikela Subbaiah Trust (R) is located in Shimoga Karnataka. The trust was founded by Sri. T. Subbaramaiah, renowned agriculturist and visionary in 2003 with a vision to create a new region of seamless knowledge and development raising the bar of education in the community. The trust runs many institutions along with the medical one.
The institute was formed with a vision of reaching excellence in the field of dental education and related services and of raising the bar of health services in India. Also known as Subbaiah Dental College Shimoga, it offers dental courses like BDS (Bachelor of Dental Sciences) and MDS approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI), affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore
Subbaiah Dental College owns a 700 bedded multi-speciality hospital and other supplementary amenities as stipulated by the DCI. The college is also adequately equipped with modern technology, Research and Learning Centre that joins into the post-graduate education programme. The institution offers courses in the field of dental sciences. To provide medical aid, Subbaiah hospitals, Health Centres and research centres are attached to the colleges.
