It may be recalled that till 1990, the name of the Mahavidyalaya was Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya and Hospital, but with the joint name of the donor's parents, it was renamed as Shri Moti Singh Jageshwari Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya and Hospital.
The Central Medical Council of India started treating it as a new College. But on May 11, 1999, after the clarification of the Mahavidyalaya, the Central Medical Council of India conducted an nomination and allowed the enrolment of 40 students.
Shri Moti Memorial Societies have been constituted under the Chairmanship of Shri Ramsundar Das for running the Mahavidyalaya, which is registered with the Government. A comprehensive action plan has been formulated for the development of the Mahavidyalaya as per the norms of the Central Medical Council of India.
Thus, it is being developed as a hospital where modern arrangements will be made for Ayurveda medicine as well as surgery. This will benefit the patients on a large scale in addition to the students studying. There is a provision of free medical treatment to poor patients. Safe delivery of women and care of infants have been well managed. A drug drug has been developed in the Mahavidyalaya campus. So that it is possible to produce abundant herbs for drug manufacturing.
