Ahmedabad University, Gujarat was established in 2009 by Ahmedabad Education Society (AES), a non-profit educational trust. AES was founded under the guidance of well-known personalities like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Kasturbhai Lalbhai, Ganesh Mavalankar and Amrutlal Hargovandas. The university offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral programs in various streams like engineering, management, arts, life sciences and computer science.

Ahmedabad University was founded in 2009 by Ahmedabad Education Society (AES), a non-profit educational foundation located in Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad University is envisioned to become a global leader that provides liberal arts education within a research university. Interdisciplinary curriculum, experiential learning environment, and research define an Ahmedabad education.
