Nirmala College of Pharmacy is established and administered by the Society of Catechist Sisters of St. Ann, Hyderabad. It is a self financed Institution, affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India and is approved by AICTE and Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. The college have been started D. Pharmacy course in 2004 and B. Pharmacy course in 2006. The M. Pharmacy courses with two specializations of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Analysis were initiated in 2010 and M. Pharmacy Pharmacology was started in 2011. The college also started Pharma - D course in 2013 with various infrastructural facilities to provide the best quality of Pharmacy education. We aim at promoting the integral human development which entails the personal growth of the pharmacists. Success is the manifestation of good luck and result from inspiration, aspiration and preparation. So far 410 D. Pharmacy, 240 B. Pharmacy & 36 M. Pharmacy students have completed and Registered as Pharmacists by the Andhra Pradesh State Pharmacy Council. Nirmala College of Pharmacy have a very good team of committed and qualified teaching staff consisting of 30 members out of which 4 Doctorates in Pharmacy and many others have registered for Ph.D. programme. Non teaching, Supportive and administrative staff include around 45 numbers. The college is situated in the area of 3.5 acres of campus.
The college has total built up area of 700 sq. mts. It has 22 well established laboratories, class rooms are well furnished with e- teaching facilities. A huge auditorium with 600 capacity, play ground for cricket, volley ball, through ball, tennicoit etc. Hostel facility for girls, 1200 sq.ft animal house as per CPCSEA guidelines. Computer lab with more than 65 systems and internet facility. Modern equipment worth about 1.5 crores has been procured for different labs of pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacology and other departments. Some of the advanced equipment also procured includes 8 stage dissolution apparatus, Bio analyzer, UV-Visible double beam Spectro photometer (Thermo Scientific), Brookfield Viscometer, Shimadzu HPLC etc., Library plays a pivotal role in supporting, sustaining and stimulating the process of teaching and learning. Our library is completely computerized and stocked with 1210 titles and 7500 volumes. Our institution is subscribing 55 National and International journals. In addition to that 25 E- journals and subscribed from Bentham publishers and global InfoTech. For the last academic year our staff members have published more than 25 research papers in various National & 9 research papers in various International journals and 2 patents from Indian Patent Office, Chennai. The college is continuously upgrading the various infrastructural facilities to provide the best quality of Pharmacy education
