Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai is one of the premier institutes of India imparting Dental Education and Services to the country as well as abroad since its establishment in the year 1938 till today. The Institute has been named in the Top Three Dental Colleges in India by the Outlook Magazine for the past 7 years. Affiliated to the prestigious Maharashtra University Of Health Sciences, Nashik; this Institute believes in being the Paradigm in Education and Healing as it boasts of state of the art equipments and technology as well as a Highly qualified and respected Teaching Staff. A vast majority of the very prominent and sought after Dentists today, are proud to name Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai as their Alma Mater.

    This institute is proud to be the 1st institute to offer a BDS degree course in country, recognized by DCI. As on today, our academic activities include yearly intake capacity of 100 students for BDS, 50 for MDS admissions and 10 each for Dental Hygienists and Dental Mechanics as recognized by Dental Council of India
 In addition, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics is a DCI-IGNOU recognized center to run a post graduate certificate course in Endodontics. Most importantly, our students are blessed with a large number of patients which is in the range of 200-300 OPD and 1000-1500 patients which are treated for various maladies on a daily basis.
